Unfortunately due to personal circumstances I am having to rehome my dogs.
The first images are of my boy Bam. He is the most placid dog you’ll ever come across. I’ve had Bam for a few years after rescuing him from a farm. When I took him on he was overweight, sleeping outside and wasn’t even microchipped but with lots of TLC he’s really expressed his personality and come on a long way. He’s castrated and has no long term medical issues however his eyesight is terrible, a vet has confirmed he isn’t fully blind but from day to day experience it’s clear that his eyesight is on the way out. As such he doesn’t really have a lot of enthusiasm for running around, he’ll happily play and he loves going on walks for a sniff, but he’s more than happy to eat, sleep and repeat. He’s a big softie, great with other dogs but can be left alone all day without fuss, he isn’t food aggressive, despite his vision his recall is really good and he’s a nice easy lead walk too. I think Bam would suit anyone who can give him the love he deserves, he’s comfortable in his own company to suit someone younger who is out working and socialising, but he’s calm enough for retirees to not worry about being swept off their feet. Bam was actually found by the farmer I got him from and as such I don’t actually know his age, vets have estimated he would be around 4/5 now given the health of his teeth and suspect that his vision may be a consequence of the living conditions he was subject to before being rescued. However you could easily mistake him for a 12/13 year old as he tends to go about his day at his own pace.
The second set of pictures is my girl Flo. Originally Flo was meant to be a working dog but didn’t quite get the hang of it, I’ve had her a few years and she’s just soft and wants a cuddle. She has grown up around other dogs but can be a bit jealous, she’s fine with others both in and out of the house and her jealousy doesn’t escalate to anything you just have to make sure she isn’t left out. She’s a really smart girl, doesn’t have any food aggression, great recall, good on the lead, she’ll happily run after the ball but hasn’t quite mastered the art of bringing it back yet. She’s not a demanding dog, for the most part if she’s had a walk and her dinner all she really wants is to curl up next to you on the sofa. She’s great when left alone, doesn’t chew anything, doesn’t bark, fine to be left for periods of time. Flo would suit anyone, she can come across quite high energy when playing or out on runs but give her a stroke and she settles down in the house easily. Flo was 4 this summer, she’s well past the puppy stages so is well behaved but still has a lot of years in her to make someone really happy.
Both of these guys just need someone with stability and unfortunately due to personal circumstances I can’t offer that.
