Description
The last few photos are of the puppies Mum.
Puppy's are more maltese than poodle, meaning less poodle craziness but a thicker denser coat than a Maltese.
Most F1b maltipoos are 75% poodle and 25% maltese.
These F1b maltipoos are 75% maltese and 25% toy poodle.
They are completely none moulting as neither a poodle nor a maltese Silky soft thick coats
Fully health tested lineage
Fully Kennel Club registered lineage
I have 11 years experience breeding maltipoo’s. I feel I have perfected what I would consider to be the absolute perfection of Maltipoo’s.
These puppies are 11 years in the making.
They have the silkiest of coats, really thick and dense.
Minimal tear staining
Placid but playful
Very small toy size.
Neither parent are yappy, neither parent have tear staining, both parents incredibly intelligent. Easy to train with such intelligence.
Puppies will be puppy pad trained by the time they are ready to leave at 8 weeks old.
Prior to the pups leaving their home of birth, I have a list of things I do to prepare the puppies for their forever homes, making the transition smother for both puppy and new owners.
I also arm you with a lot of information, tips and advice to help prepare the new owners for their new fur babies arrival.
My aim is to make the transition as smooth as possible.
Here is a list of what i do:
Puppies are handled every day, throughout the day.
Their pen is in the kitchen diner where I spend most of my day. In the evening the puppies join my family and I on our settee for snuggles whilst we watch TV. They tend to fall asleep with the comfort.
They have time in the garden, feeling different textures like grass, pebbles and patio slabs. Exploring. Different smells of the flowers and outside noises. (We live near a very busy road the A38 which is loud in the garden, the pups will be completely used to this)
As the pups get towards 7 weeks I start playing a recording of fireworks. I start this relatively quiet and increase the volume. I always do this whilst they are all together and with their mummy. They learn that loud bangs are nothing to fear by the time they are 8 weeks old. Helping with bonfire night.
I have children, who adore them. Niece's and Nephew’s who want to be at my house as much as possible at the moment, I wonder why.. :)
I prepare the puppies to be crate trained. At 7 weeks they sleep in a crate at night with their siblings. The crate will be new to them but they'll have each other. Their mum will be on the outside of the crate. At 7.5 weeks the pups will be in the crate with their siblings over night but their mum will no longer be in the kitchen.
This helps the pups to settle better at 8 weeks old in their new home. Stepping stones of independence. A gradual change.
The pups have a lot of play time outside of their playpen. This is where I am able to puppy pad train them.
The puppies come from fully health checked lineage and i will give the new puppy owners copies of these. I will also give copies of all the entire Kennel Club lineage of both Mum and Dad.
Health tested clear for the following:
Degenerative Myeopathy
Von Willebrand Disease
Neonatal Encephalopathy
PRCD - PRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
PRA - LOPRA (Progressive Retinal Atrophy)
Puppies will leave after being health checked by the Vet. They will be microchipped and have had their first vaccination.
A full puppy box with toys, treats a blanket, chews, a lead and collar.
An information folder pack.
Puppy food.
Copies of all certificates
As much support and advise you require from me.
Casper - white boy
Monty - champagne with white bits
Teddy - champagne with white bits
Most maltipoos seem to be apricot, but i adore the champagne colouring. Casper is my second fully white maltipoo i have ever had, they are rare in deed.
It is really important that puppies go to their new homes at 8 weeks old, because of the socialising window that helps build the puppies character for life. I will explain this to you in full, but in a nutshell, at 8 weeks old the puppy is fully weaned off mum, sleeping with their siblings full time. Between 8 and 14 weeks in the socialising window where the puppy needs to be exposed to all experiences, sounds, smells and visuals. In this window of time the puppy is curious, so they embrace the new experience with ease, without fear. As the puppy approaches 14 weeks old, that curiosity can turn to fear at new experiences.
This could be loud noises, busy road, horses, bikes, fireworks ect
You can socialise your puppy from 8 weeks old, take him out everywhere you go. Though, do not put the puppy on the ground until they are fully vaccinated, so consider purchasing a puppy carrier sling, so you can carry your tiny puppy everywhere, helping them experience everything. For toilet breaks, take a puppy pad, so the pups arn’t exposed to the ground.
The official Kennel Club organisation recommend that puppies go to their forever homes at 8 weeks old. This is the advice I follow.
Puppies adapt with more ease at 8 weeks than any other age.
I have held onto puppies in the past for a bit longer, and when i do this i take on the socialising, i take them out in my puppy sling, i put them in my basket on my bicycle and go on bike rides (they love it).
The key to socialising is exposure, and whilst the puppies experience the new surroundings, give them so much love. Help them feel safe in that environment. And as easy as that, the puppy doesnt connect that experience with fear again.
The puppies are developing their little personalities now.
