Zeus is a 9 year old blue and gold macaw, suspected to be male but not DNA sexed. He is a remarkably good talker, but particularly enjoys to laugh! Zeus is allergic to cats so please don't enquire if you have cats. He is a rescue and has made a lot of progress whilst with us, and will always have a home here if he needs, but he came with another macaw, thought to be in a bonded pair, and unfortunately they are incompatible and this is causing both of them problems being in the same environment, as well as the fact we have cats on the property affecting his allergy. We want the best for them and being around each other is causing stress to them both. The other macaw has pulled out some of Zeus's feathers, he is also moulting, which is good because he arrived in poor feather condition but has since had an excellent diet along with supplements to speed up recovery and he is doing much better, and I anticipate after his moult he will look quite fabulous! He is lovely and has stepped up for us and loves head scritches but will need time to adjust to his new home and work done to build up his confidence and trust for his new human. He'll do most things for a walnut or pine nut though! No dealers, no couriers, collection only, I will need to know about your knowledge and set up. He has had his leg ring removed due to it being badly fitted and riding up his leg to where it shouldn't be and getting stuck, although I still have the leg ring and the details from it.
