Description
We have loved our rats for more than two years, but have made the decision to not continue our mischief. All our rats came from rescue situations. After the recent passing of two of them, we’re concerned that the older two may not have long left (they went unexpectedly with no clear cause so suspect genetics). The youngest one (Siamese boy) is only around 18 months and has never shown any health concerns. He’s not handleable so needs his mischief for socialisation and support. The boys: Rhombus (on shoulder in pic), coming up to 2 years old. No health issues. Very friendly and handleable, but has been more reactive since his younger brothers passed away. Axis, coming up two 2 years old. Has previously had 2 abscesses, but none for more than 6 months and recovered following removal and antibiotics. Friendly boy, has always been ‘top dog’. Smudge, around 18 months old. No health issues. Red eyes cause him to sway to get balance. Missing end of tail from an incident during early bonding. His brother (grey face) died from an internal tumour earlier this year. All love free roam, the older boys kind of know their names. They either sleep in hammocks in a pile or burrowed in bedding or piled in a hide together. All boys are intact and shown no hormonal aggression. Can come with entire Liberta Explorer cage if going to a home looking to build a mischief around them or for transitions. The cage would be £100 with all accessories or £75 without accessories. They will come with their hammocks and any favourite toys. Would prefer to go to a home experienced with rats and ideally to join a larger mischief as they miss being a 7!
