A very special miniature dachshund looking for his person
This beautiful 2-year-old entire male miniature dachshund is looking for a calm, loving home where he can finally relax and feel safe.
He is a smooth-haired merle, around 5kg, and very much a heart dog. Exceptionally cuddly, sensitive, and affectionate, he is happiest curled up on a sofa, tucked under a blanket, or pressed close to his human. He’s a true Velcro dachshund deeply loyal, emotionally intuitive, and devoted to his person, while still having a playful, lively side that comes out when he feels secure.
He is:
• Food-motivated, playful, and adores snuggling
• Up to date with vaccinations, worming, and flea treatment
• No back issues or IVDD concerns
Where he struggles is with people rather than dogs. He can be very nervous around unfamiliar people, and busy households overwhelm him. He is not suited to children, frequent visitors, or a home with people coming and going. Being left alone does not suit him at all he needs stability, consistency, and emotional closeness.
Due to a relationship breakdown, he is now being left alone too much, with different people popping in and out. This has been extremely distressing for him, and it’s clear he needs something very different: a quiet, settled home where he can bond deeply with one person (or possibly a very calm household), ideally someone who understands dachshunds and their sensitive nature.
His ideal home
• A quiet environment
• Preferably one dedicated person
• Someone at home most of the time
• No children and minimal visitors
• Dachshund experience would be a real bonus
• Someone who values companionship, cuddles, and emotional connection
He will come with his food, toys, and blankets, and a rehoming fee applies. This is not about speed it’s about finding the right home but a suitable home is needed as soon as possible for his wellbeing.
This little dog has so much love to give. In the right home, with the right person, he will absolutely thrive and repay that kindness tenfold with loyalty, affection, and devotion.
