Description

It is with immense regret that I have to re-home my dog due to a change in relationship, housing situation and work commitments. She is a beautiful dog and everywhere we go we receive lots attention. She’s a great dog is as happy on an 8 hour mountain hike as she is swimming in water, she loves the waves and will swim for hours if you let her. She is just as happy having a quiet day chilling at home. As she’s a fairly large dog (45kg) we use a prong collar during walks, some people don’t like these but I believe used correctly are an invaluable tool. During our walks she’s a loose lead walker but is not an off the lead walker (yet). She knows a variety of commands, is house trained and very quick to learn new things. She’s been the best dog and best friend to me and so I will only let her go to the right person / family. As a bigger dog she does need someone with experience handling bigger dogs and ensuring she knows her place within your home. On walks some dogs (mostly of the smaller yappy breed) and dogs running around her off lead can make her pull and as a big dog you need to be able to correct her and be able to manage this. I’ve not allowed her to be off lead with other dogs, for me socialising with other dogs does not mean direct interaction but means having dogs in the vicinity that she can smell and is aware of. She often accompanies me to the pub and is quite happy in this situation but she does not like men coming up to her and putting their hand in her face. In these situations she needs to be protected by you so she knows that you are protecting her. This goes for other outings as well. She has no issue with women or men that are aware how to approach a dog correctly (I.e not sticking their hand in her face and letting her go to them) She has had 2 cycles and I was due to have her spayed after the 3rd as recommended. She also shreds a coat spring and autumn which can lead to a daily sweeping up but otherwise considering her coat it’s not to bad. I will only let her go to the right person or family, so if you are a serious enquirer please provide background info. Priced only to guarantee people ready to take on the commitment, dedication and love she deserves.
