Description
Hi there,
Thank you for your interest in our flame point ragdoll, Ozzy, who we have decided to rehome after much consideration.
Ozzy is a very playful boy, very cheeky, follows you around everywhere and plays fetch with his toys like a dog, and loves his food as much as our labrador does! Whilst he doesn't tend to sit on your lap, he often sleeps nearby and in the same room as you, and likes affection. He purrs and 'makes biscuits' particularly when he is wanting food! He is silky soft, looks after his coat very well without us needing to groom him (some ragdolls you definitely need to but not Ozzy). He's brilliant with his litter box, and will even cover up our other cat, Phoebe's, when she doesn't cover her poos. He is confident and curious around strangers and has no issues about being around our dog. He is also happy to be around children, and is great with my 9 year old son.
We got Ozzy from 8 weeks old after our male tabbie, Floki, sadly passed away. Unfortunately, Floki's sister, Phoebe, became very unsettled with having another cat in the house, and after a few weeks of Ozzy living with us, she ran away for 2 and a half months and we believe this was because she wasn't happy with the situation of having another cat.
We have tried to make it work but she still isn't happy with the situation, mainly because he will try to play with her, despite her telling him to back off by hissing or growling- she just doesn't want to play with him, and he doesn't take no for an answer a lot of the time.
We feel that he would be better suited to a home with another cat or cats who perhaps have a similar energy to him, and isn't too timid/likes to play, or where there are no other cats, but humans to play with him.
If he is homed with other cats, he will likely need to be fed separately as he tends to eat his food very quickly and then tries to take food from Phoebe.
We feed him chicken and Blink, as that produces perfect poos for him. (Like all ragdolls, he has a sensitive stomach).
As he's a ragdoll, he must be kept indoors, unless you have a catio or he is supervised in a garden.
Ozzy has been neutered and microchipped and no health issue
s.
Please get in touch if you think you can provide a loving home for Ozzy, that meets the above requirements.
Best wishes, Emma and Chris
