Description
It is with a heavy heart that we have made the difficult decision to find our beautiful miniature Dachshund, Mocca, a new loving home. Mocca has been a much-loved member of our family, and this is certainly not a decision we have taken lightly. We have recently welcomed a newborn baby into our home, and unfortunately, Mocca has found the transition and adjustment to having a little one around quite challenging. After much thought, we feel that finding her a home where she can feel comfortable, settled and receive the love and attention she deserves would be the kindest decision for her. We are looking for a responsible, caring home where she will be treated as part of the family and given the patience, affection and reassurance she needs. Her happiness and wellbeing are our absolute priority, so finding the right home is far more important to us than rushing the process.

Pros
Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained
Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
