Remi is a stunning example of a well-bred working Cocker Spaniel, from exceptional lines originally selected for detection work. While she has plenty of drive and a strong hunt instinct, she’s not quite suited to the intense world of detection — she prefers to work with her people, not away from them.
That said, she’s more than capable of gundog-style activities or active pet homes. She retrieves beautifully to hand (we use a ball and Kong in training) and could easily turn her paw to fun gundog work (though she'll be a complete novice as she's been on a detection plan) — but we’re not looking for a heavy-handed gundog home. Remi is soft-natured, thrives on praise, and doesn’t need a firm hand.
Remi is the true spirit of a working cocker — happy to hike and camp in the Peak District by day, and snuggle on your lap for a film by night. She’s incredibly easy to live with and full of personality.

Remi does pull on the lead however — that’s entirely our fault for rarely putting one on over the past year. But it’s a quick fix, and we’re happy to either work on this before she goes or show you exactly how to do it yourself. She’s clever, eager to please, and loves learning.
Her Ideal Home
As a true working cocker, Remi needs an active home that can offer both physical exercise and mental enrichment (find-it games, scatter feeds, trick training — she loves it!). She's not a sofa-only pet, but equally not the kind to climb your curtains.
Her home will be vetted to ensure it's the right fit for both her and you.
