Socks isn’t the kind of dog who’ll stride into your life with instant confidence — she’s the one who’ll quietly steal your heart and never give it back.
Meet Socks – a 1 year old, sweet, affectionate girl who has blossomed beautifully in foster care. She is a mixed breed girl with a hint of pointer, who weighs around 20kg, so is medium size.
She can be a little nervous with new people and situations, but with calm, patient introductions she quickly learns to trust — and once she does, she gives her whole heart. She’s incredibly cuddly, always happy to see you (even if you’ve only been gone five minutes), and loves nothing more than curling up beside her humans or her doggy companion.
Socks is curious and playful, with a lovely, easy-going nature. She enjoys her walks, especially when she can take her time sniffing and exploring, and she walks nicely on the lead when kept close for reassurance. At home, she’s calm, well-mannered, fully house trained, and sleeps soundly through the night. She has some adorable quirks too — like carefully gathering her favourite toys into her bed, “burying” treasures in the garden before a nap, and giving gentle little excited nibbles when she’s especially happy to see you.
She gets on wonderfully with other dogs and absolutely needs a calm, confident resident dog in her new home to help guide her and build her confidence. She would suit a home with older children or adults, as younger children and sudden movements can make her unsure.
Socks is still building her confidence with the world, so she’s looking for a patient, understanding home that will continue to support her at her own pace. In return, she offers unwavering loyalty, affection, and a truly special bond.

Socks is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. A minimum adoption donation of £375 applies. Adoption is subject to a satisfactory application and home check,
Please note:
We are committed to the lifelong care of our dogs and will always accept their return when space allows. In situations where space is limited, we will endeavour to rehome the dog directly from its current home.
Under no circumstances may the dog be transferred to another UK rescue organisation.
