11-Month-Old Male German Shepherd – Rehoming
Meet Hunter, an energetic, intelligent, and affectionate 11-month-old male German Shepherd. He’s full of life, loves being outdoors, and absolutely thrives on play – especially a good game of fetch! He’s incredibly smart and has already started basic training at home in preparation for future NASDU certification.
Our original plan was to involve Hunter in security work alongside us. Unfortunately, due to recent changes in both mine and my partner’s work schedules, we can no longer give him the time and attention he truly deserves. It’s a heartbreaking decision, but we’re committed to finding him a home where he can thrive.
Hunter would be best suited to a working role, such as security or even with the police. He has all the right traits to excel: drive, focus, trainability, and a strong bond with his handler.
We also have two cats, and despite months of trying, Hunter and the cats simply haven’t integrated well. It’s become clear that a cat-free home would be the best environment for everyone involved.
This decision is not being made lightly – Hunter has brought so much joy to our lives, and we truly love him. But it’s not fair to keep him in a situation where he can’t flourish to his full potential.
