Description
Flo's life did not start with warmth or safety. She was rescued from a public shelter, where her future was painfully uncertain. Thanks to a second chance, she made it out alive and is now staying in a private shelter.
But even there, it’s clear: this is not where Flo belongs. She is too gentle, too affectionate, too deeply people-oriented to live behind bars. Flo longs for closeness, for belonging, for a place where she is more than just another dog waiting.

⚖️ Weight: approx. 25 kg
🔍 Based on her appearance, we believe Flo may have some Entlebucher Mountain Dog (or similar) influence, mixed with other working-type breeds and possibly local genetics.
Looks & charm:
Flo is a medium-sized dog with a beautiful tricolour coat and a strong, balanced build. But what truly makes her unforgettable is her expression. Her soft eyes, her open face — and that gentle smile that never seems to leave her.
She has a way of looking at you that feels hopeful, trusting… as if she still believes that someone will come for her.
Personality:
Flo is an incredibly sweet, gentle and loving soul. She blossoms with human attention and clearly finds her happiness in being close to people. She is friendly and sociable with other dogs, and her calm, kind nature makes her a joy to be around.
She has a natural will to please and enjoys doing things together with her person. Her energy level is beautifully balanced: she loves walks, playtime and shared adventures, but she is just as happy curling up nearby and enjoying quiet, peaceful moments together.
Her ideal home:
Flo doesn’t ask for much. What she truly needs is togetherness — sharing daily life, going for walks, discovering the world side by side, and then resting together, feeling safe and included.
Another dog could be a lovely bonus for her, but what matters most is a home where she feels seen, wanted and loved.
A dog-proof garden would of course be something Flo would really enjoy — a place to stretch her legs, play a little, and simply be a happy dog in the sunshine.

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
