***NEW HOME HAS NOT WORKED OUT SO NOW BACK UP FOR REHOMING. MILO IS CURRENTLY IN TIVERTON***
PLEASE DONT LET THE FOLLOWING PUT YOU OFF. He is a lush dog, just with anxiety.
This is Milo, 2 years old not yet neutered beautiful boy.
Reasons for re-homing are due to financial circumstances, my health and milo needing a little extra help I cannot afford.
Milo is a fantastic, loving beautiful boy who loves to cuddle.
Hs is amazing with my 6 year old daughter and 10 year old step son and loves to play with my mums labrador and basset hound.
Milo has always been a nervous nelly but the past 18 months have become a lot worse. Originally it was just slight separation anxiety (he would shake everytime i started to leave the house). Now my partner can not be in the same room as milo without milo barking non stop, hiding behind the sofa and shaking. There has been no trigger to his fear of my partner that we can think of. Its been since day 1 but gradually got worse. We have tried everything over the last year. My partner feeds him, tries holding the lead on walks (which milo also panics about), throws his ball, has sat on the floor with him, ignored him ect ect but nothing has helped. He has now started toileting inside at night, scent marking and now also panics when I go up to bed at night. Milo is less confident with all men but my partner seems to be the only one he will not accept. My brother is the same height and absolutely loves him.
As you can see in the last photo, milo lives with 3 cats. 1 he loves (she's very dog savvy), the 2nd he accepts but does get a little over playful with her and my boy, he will bark at (not sure if it's because he's a boy).
Milo LOVES being outside, he needs more training for lead walking and recall though. Recall is great when there is no other dogs around but as soon as there is, his ears switch off! He wants to say hello to every dog without considering some don't want to say hello back. Milo adores playing with other dogs, especially if they will chase him!
Unfortunately though he has a fight instinct not flight. If any dog growls or warns milo off, milo sees that as them trying to fight him so he will fight back.
I know time, patients and possibly seeing a behaviourist will help milo but with my health condition and financial position, I can no longer do what's best for milo 😢.
All of that aside, milo is honestly such a loving, playful, caring dog who deserves the world. This decision is not one im making lightly. This is only because I believe is what's best.
I Rehomed Milo to someone in tiverton who owns a female GSD but have been told they feel he would be better with a dominant dog or no dogs.
Any questions please ask.
