It’s with a very heavy heart that we’re looking to find a loving forever home for our boy.
He is the sweetest, most affectionate and gentle dog who truly deserves a home where his needs can be fully met. He is fully house trained and was crate trained from a puppy, only recently stopping use of his crate in October. He’s a very clever boy who knows commands such as *sit, down, paw,* and even *cuddles*. He absolutely loves affection but also needs someone who understands when he would like his own space.
He’s full of energy and would be best suited to an adult-only household. Although he currently lives with two children, we feel the busy environment can sometimes be a bit overwhelming for him as he has growled and snapped at children previously to tell them to give him his own space.
He would thrive with someone who can give him attention on his terms and provide a calm, understanding home.
Over a year ago he was attacked by a larger dog, which has made him a little anxious when meeting new dogs and people. He may bark or lunge at first, so an owner with dog experience would be ideal to help him feel safe and supported.
He is deeply loved and very well cared for. He enjoys being part of family life (especially a Sunday dinner treat!), loves natural treats, and is fully up to date with flea, tick and worm treatments. He recently had his six-month vet check with no concerns at all. He is groomed every six weeks, bathed in between, and is used to being dried with a hairdryer both at home and at the groomers — who describe him as “an angel.”
He can be left home alone for up to five hours without any issues.
We want nothing more than to find someone who will love him unconditionally and give him the wonderful life he deserves. We would like to arrange a few meetings to make sure it’s the perfect match for both him and his new family before making any final decisions.
