🐶 Flash is a small miniature pinscher boy, around 30 cm (12 inches) and 10 kg, now 8 years old. A deeply loyal, sensitive and devoted companion who forms strong bonds with his person and just wants a peaceful life by their side.

💔 Rescue Story
Flash first came to us in 2021 after his elderly owner passed away. He was adopted and loved… but life changed. After two years, circumstances shifted and he was returned and rehomed again in 2023. Now, once again, through absolutely no fault of his own, he needs help.
His current owner loves him deeply but is struggling with her mental health and wellbeing. Living alone after her daughter moved out and managing everything by herself has become overwhelming, and despite careful thought and love for Flash, she has made the incredibly difficult decision to let him go so he can have the stability he deserves.💔
🐾 More About Flash
Flash is a truly lovely, well-mannered boy at home. Calm, clean and easy to live with, he settles beautifully and enjoys his independence while still being very bonded to his person. He chooses where to rest — sometimes near you, sometimes on the sofa — but always within that quiet companionship he loves.
He can be left alone for short periods without issue after he settles and is fully housetrained. He is not demanding, not destructive, and brings a peaceful presence into the home.
Out on walks, he is a joy. He walks nicely on the lead, has good recall, and loves exploring nature through slow, “sniffy” walks. He is not overly playful with toys, but enjoys enrichment like scent games, finding kibble, and the occasional tug or chew.
He is an intelligent boy who learns in his own way. He responds better to consistent cues, patterns and body language than traditional commands. He understands signals, routines and gentle guidance — showing how adaptable and clever he is when understood properly.
Flash does have some sensitivities. He is frightened of larger dogs and may bark when he feels unsure. He is also uncomfortable in the dark outside and may react vocally when scared. This is not aggression — it is fear and communication.
He is not a fan of rain, puddles or baths, and will go out of his way to avoid them — one of his many endearing quirks. He also has a prey drive and will chase squirrels or react to cats outdoors.
🏡 Ideal Home
🐶 Flash would thrive in a calm, stable home with someone who understands sensitive dogs and can offer him reassurance and routine.
A quieter household is essential. He could live with older, calm teenagers, but a busy home with young children would be too much for him. Visiting children are absolutely fine.
A private, secure garden would be highly beneficial for him, especially as it would help reduce his anxiety around toileting in the dark.
🐶 Flash would likely be happiest as the only dog, though he can socialise with similar-sized dogs. A home without cats is preferred due to his prey drive.
🐶 Flash needs someone patient, observant and kind — someone who will understand his fears without pushing him, and who will offer him the stability he has been missing.

🐶 Flash is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. He is generally healthy, currently on a low-fat diet to maintain his ideal weight of around 10 kg, and does best with regular feeding routine.
