This is my beautiful baby, Belle. Belle is an indoor cat and she is a British Shorthair though I know nothing of her breeding lines etc.
I re-homed Belle in December 2019 at which time she was around 2 years old, perhaps a little older. Belle has been the light of my life and the most sweet, loving and affectionate baby.
Belle would like nothing more than to sit on someone’s lap all day, being stroked and fussed. She is an easy going, sweet natured and happy cat. She used to enjoy hanging out in my garden whilst I was out there in my previous home where the garden was completely secure. She loved a sun trap and a windowsill. She is both playful and lazy all at the same time.
Belle lived alone with me for 4 years before I became a Police Dog Handler. Belle has adapted well to the dogs but chooses to avoid them, meaning she spends a lot of her time upstairs in my house, sleeping on the bed and waiting for me to come upstairs. I have spent the past few years desperately trying to make sure she gets as much love and affection and is as happy as ever but the reality is that I know Belle would be much happier somewhere where there are no dogs and where someone can give her all their attention at home.
I am about to move to a much smaller house through circumstances out of my control and sadly this will limit Belle’s freedom even more. This decision breaks my heart but I know that it is what’s best for Belle.
I would love nothing more than for Belle to find a home where she is spoiled rotten with love, affection and attention.
Belle would need to be the only cat - she has never lived with another cat and I don’t want to put her through the stress of potentially unsuccessful introductions.
I will not re-home Belle anywhere with dogs or to anyone who may consider getting a dog in the future. Belle is a much happier cat without dogs in her life. I would potentially consider her living with an older, cat-tested dog subject to successful introductions but this would be for the perfect 5* family only.
I would prefer Belle to live somewhere not near a main road.
Belle needs regular grooming to prevent matting. She uses a litter box which needs to be regularly cleaned. She eats 1-2 wet food pouches a day and always has access to dry food.
