It’s with an awfully heavy heart that we have made the really tough decision to find a new loving home for our big boy Donnie. Due to personal circumstances, we feel we aren’t giving him the attention and environment that we both feel he massively deserves. As quite a naive young couple at the time when we made the decision to get him, we thought our small end of terrace house would be plenty big enough for our 10kg big boy to have full roam but unfortunately we were wrong. We also have a dog who he gets along and plays with but we wouldn’t feel comfortable rehoming him with a dog bigger than him.
He is neutered, microchipped, litter trained, he loves being fed treats. He will happily join you on the bed and loves to talk to you. 🗣️ He also likes to sing with you if you’re ever singing away in the shower or at home.
He is STRICTLY an indoor cat, he is a full pedigree Maine Coon and we payed an awful lot of money for him due to his pedigree blood line. 🧬
He needs to go to a home that has access to a catio or a cat proof garden as he absolutely ADORES being outside and has done since a young age. He will happily spend hours in the garden chirping at the birds and catching flys in the grass. Without outdoor access, he would drive you mad as he will meow at the back door until you let him out 😂 however he does come back in on demand with the shake of a treat bag.
He gets along really well with other cats he has encountered on the fence in the garden and just wants to play.
In August 2023 he had an accident at home where he fell from his cat tree and caused damage to his left femoral head. He had orthopaedic surgery to correct this and since he’s had absolutely zero issues, you wouldn’t even know until you see his ‘pimp walk’ where he has a slight sway to his walk but otherwise he is completely pain free and lives a comfortable and pain free life. It doesn’t stop him from jumping on and off the sides, he just lives as a normal cat.
The price of him reflects how important it is to us that he goes to the right home.
He would come with his food, litter tray, litter, grooming stuff, treats, garden brackets and wire for cat proofing so you can set up your garden for him.
