Description

One chocolate boy left out of a litter of six . Unfortunately been let down by a few people. Hes almost house trained only on puppy pads and goes outside. Sleeps in a cage on a blanket in the lounge and on my bed or basket by the side of my bed training him with treats to give his paw.

Pros

Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs

Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please

Fun-loving and playful by nature

Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own

Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints

They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise

The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
