Description
Hello and welcome along to Teddy’s bio.
Teddy is the Duracell bunny version of a standard wire haired Dachshund.
He is a beautiful sole very loving & kind hearted.
When he was younger he did get nervous meeting young children but didn’t do anything nasty just used to wee a little bit as he has gotten older & his confidence has grown this has subsided, he prefers for him to greet them instead of them greeting him.
He isn’t fazed by rain or wind and will go out in all conditions.
I feel we can’t provide Teddy with all the stimulation he needs, we have mini smooth haired Dachshunds & they like nothing more than a blanket and sleep, but Teddy needs a lot of exercise but he isn’t destructive just doesn’t switch off without expelling some energy.
The perfect fit for Teddy would be a farm environment where he could just tootle round all day or a companion that loves walking.
He is very good with other dogs and travels well in a car.
He hasn’t been neutered yet (as he is too young) he is up to date with vaccines & is Kennel club registered.
This is a very hard decision but we aren’t full-filling his full potential.

Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
