Description
Our working teckel bitch Tickle gave birth to a litter of 7 wild boar puppies on 28/02/2026.
Tickle is worked regularly - blood tracking deer as both of our stalking companion as well as picking up birds with our other gun dogs out game shooting.
She has an excellent nose and speaks when she is on the line of something when tracking, which is required of teckels when doing a working test/ to work in Europe. She is very well bred with a good mix of different lines and has a really lovely temperament- she loves everyone (including children) and everything she meets. When she is not out working she is the perfect companion at home. She is an excellent representation of the breed.
We lined her with Hamish (photos included of him) who is also very well bred, a good solid dog and comes from excellent lines too. He also has a lovely, temperament too.
There are 3 bitches (one we will be keeping ourselves) and 4 dogs. Varying shades of wild boar colouring- both parents wirehaired with good facial furnishings (beard, eyebrows, coconut matting paws).
Puppies will be ready to view in a few weeks time and you’re more than welcome to come and see them if interested.
Working homes not required but good homes are a must.
They will be ready to leave on the 25th April and will be fully up to date with wormers,each be checked over by our vet prior to leaving, microchipped, have a Eukanuba puppy pack including a bag of food they will have been weaned onto, some vet bedding smelling of mum/ siblings and KC registration paper work including a 3 generation pedigree certificate.
I will update photos as the puppies get bigger/ older or can send more of them, Tickle or Hamish on request. Also happy to send videos and photos of her working.

They were very helpful and ‘Bruno’ the dog is very happy. The puppies were in great condition.
Pros
Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained
Cons
Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
