Description

We are searching for new owner(s) for our beloved husky who has recently turned 8 years old. He’s still very lively and loves to get all the attention, which sadly we now aren’t able to give him since we now have two very young babies. Our life style change is now making it difficult for us to meet his needs and as much as we’d selfishly like to keep him here with us, we know it’s not fair and he could be having a more fulfilled life with someone now more suited to him. As a big dog he needs lots of exercise. He hasn’t done much socialising with other dogs of recent, however he used to spend some time around friends dogs (one seen in the photos) and he always enjoyed it, getting very excitable. We did notice however that this was sometimes breed dependant so we would never suggest letting him off lead near another dog until they’ve met and you can see he’s taken well to the dog, he has been a bit unsure on a couple of occasions and warned them away, with growling, never bitten. He can be boisterous so needs an owner that can handle that. His behaviour indoors is brilliant, however he has no off lead recall and as a typical husky if you were to leave your front door open he’d be out and it would be a task to call him back. So this is something we were always very cautious of, but as mentioned around the home he’s great. He doesn’t enjoy the vets due to a bad experience there when a pup, so visiting there can be a task. We’d like to have a good meet with new potential owner(s) so we can give lots more information about how he is and things he likes, also as we’ve had him since a pup we obviously would like to make sure he’s going to a better more suited home. Any questions feel free to send message. We don’t want any payment, we just want to make sure the person is the right fit for him and his needs
