Beautiful miniature dachshund looking for a new home.
Chicken (so named because she clucks like a chicken) is looking for an experienced dachshund owner to take her under their wing and give her a loving home.
We rescued her a couple of weeks ago and so are very unsure of her background history.
Chicken is a very loving little girl who is just over 4 years old. She loves nothing more than a belly rub and a cuddle. She is fully toilet trained and very clean around the house and does not chew. She walks well on a leash and harness but, I have not felt comfortable in letting her off the lead as I'm not sure on her recall skills.
When we rescued her she was living in a house with a lot of other dogs but, she was kept separate in a playpen. This has made her very anxious and she gets upset when anyone leaves the room. She has the run of the downstairs and garden at our house.
She is quite reactive to noise and can bark quite loudly if she hears something or someone outside.
We are looking for an experienced owner for Chicken as unfortunately we have been unable to improve her anxiety issues and she really needs a home where she can flourish and not feel stressed.
When we rescued her she had very overgrown nails which have now been sorted with a pamper session at the Groom Room.
She has also had a health check up with the vet.
She would make a lovely pet for the right family but, unfortunately I don't think we are the right fit for her.
