Description
I have over 6000 followers on Mungo’s FB page (link at the bottom) and daily enquires for his puppies.
If you are look for the VERY BEST health tested stud with clear / great results, you have found him - a quick check on Google and you will find him easily (just search: golden show cocker).
He has an outstanding temperament and he is quite the character.
Standing at stud:
Mungo, a golden pedigree ENGLISH (he's not an import), pure bred SHOW cocker spaniel and arguably THE most popular choice for a golden show cocker stud. He is SUPER experienced with the ladies and can make even the trickier ones say yes!
And where possible, I prefer short notice bookings.
My studs (I own Ludo) are an official cocker colour and if you're keen to only have an official cocker colour (even if your dam is sable), especially golden, then they are an ideal option.
HEALTH TESTS
True to breed type, Mungo is simply THE best health tested show cocker stud tested to - and above - what the Kennel Club state a cocker spaniel should be tested for, namely:
✔️ DNA test result to confirm he is prcd-PRA clear
✔️ DNA test result to confirm he is FN clear
✔️ DNA test result to confirm he is AMS clear
✔️ DNA test result to confirm he is AON clear
✔️ DNA test result to confirm he is PP clear
✔️ Annual BVA / KC eye exam which confirms clear of all tested hereditary eye diseases (including PRA and HC) performed September 2024 (also performed in 2023, 2022, 2021 and 2019)
✔️ Gonioscopy (PLA) - Grade 0 (the best) which he was tested for in 2022 and 2019 (next due 08/25)
There are only 2 show cockers studs in the UK health tested to this exceptional standards and with great results - and I own them both (Ludo and Mungo).
I only use KC approved laboratories so results can be easily seen by EVERYONE (including puppy buyers) on the Kennel Club website.

✔️ VET checked for non-luxating patellae.

Mungo is an exceptional pedigree with many show champions in his lines (marked in red on the chart picture attached). His health tests and colour mean that his pups are very popular.
He has a stunning coat and is a truly golden colour - one of the few RECOGNISED spaniel colours by the Kennel Club.
He has a lovely temperament. He is our FAMILY DOG and lives IN OUR HOME (we are not a kennel) with my other three (female) spaniels so he is quite the gentleman and very good at his job.

PRICE
He charges £400 which includes cytology to make sure timings are right and upto 3 matings - and a free return in the unlikely event of no pregnancy. I will provide with a KC Assured Breeder stud contract and paper copies of his test results, pedigree etc.

SUPPORT
I have 3 dams myself and alot of breeding experience to help and advise if you need it as well as help with selling your litter of you want it.
I provide a cheat sheet on:
- selling your litter including pricing
- screening and choosing buyers
- feeding a pregnant dam
- how to effectively liaise with the KC and how to register the litter and what you need to know beforehand
And I can promote your litter on Mungo's Facebook page if you want - being so well health tested his litters are well sought after. A few pics attached - several of his children have big insta acs or are used as models.
