We are seeking a loving family or individual with plenty of time, for Harlow our 1 year old Hungarian viszla.
This is through no fault of her own.
Harlow is just over 1 year old, and came from a litter of 11. She was the smallest of her litter and currently weighs in at 21.7kg.
Although from a shorthaired vizsla mother and father , she has some of her mother’s trates in regard to wire hair showing through.
Harlow is crate and house trained. We trained this from day one , when she joined us at 10 weeks old. Harlow signals when she needs letting outside. She has a soft spot for her crate and will tend to come to you when she’s ready to head to the crate for the night. Otherwise she’d rather be roaming the garden during the day or by your feet in the evening .
The need to rehome comes from a change in our family circumstances and potential move abroad. Having thought very hard , we feel we wouldn’t be putting her first if we tried to take her with us and remove her from her local environment. Harlow has open access to her siblings and we would be keen on putting her new owner in touch with her breeder who remains that of mum, and two of Harlows brothers .
Harlow currently eats “Adult - Lifestage”. Twice daily, morning and evening . She has salmon oil a with her morning feed. Harlow is keen on long lasting chews and we find this helps tire her brain and prevent her from chewing on things that aren’t hers.
Harlow needs 60 minutes of exercise a day at minimum . Therefore we would only encourage someone who has the lifestyle or ability to provide this otherwise to contact in view of taking her on . Her breed requires daily exercise to ensure a happy and healthy life . She prefers moorland or woodland walks , likely because of her breeds scenting background. She currently walks in urban areas on a holter collar , but offlead otherwise . Her recall is good , especially if you have a treat or her tennis ball. If you tell her to “leave” , she will stop and do as you say.
Harlow is upto date with all vaccines and is chipped / registered to us currently.
