We are looking for a home for Blossom our 2 year old (almost 3) standard f1 Goldendoodle.
She was bred by us and has bred some wonderful puppies many of which are now working as therapy dogs. We are now focusing on F1 crosses though. She has been spayed and is fully recovered.
She is very loving and sweet and good natured. She is fully house trained, knows sit and has good recall (with limits as with all dogs).
She is very intelligent and trainable and as with all our dogs are not remotely nervous or timid so need a firm hand to keep them behaving. If you’re the sort of person that thinks being a pack leader is cruel and wants to be an equal with a dog it wouldn’t work.
She has spent some time around children and was very good but we don’t have any of our own so strictly no children under 7 in the household.
She is only available to someone who has owned a dog before - strictly no first time dog owners - this is because settling in a rehomed adult dog can be a tricky process and first time owners are much more suited to puppies.
She would suit a home with one other dog or would be very happy as a solo dog. She is quite dominant with other dogs - never aggressive but just asserts herself so the other dog would either need to be very submissive or very dominant so she feels comfortable in the pecking order. With submissive dogs she will be a bit dominant with them and then relax, with dogs that are very dominant she will be very submissive but with dogs equal to her dominance they can clash and end up constantly trying to dominate each other. She’s never bitten or snapped just lots of growing and jumping up and squaring up.
She has never been around cats and I have no idea what she would be like.
