Let me introduce our gorgeous black lab called Luna. Luna is 10months old, her birthday is 19th December and we have had her since 9 weeks old. She is not yet spayed but she had her first season in July this year.
She is the most gentle and sweet dog, she’s calm with children (having grown up with two boys aged 4 and 6). She loves other dogs and enjoys a play with them on a walk or at the park for example, but she is able to come away when called. She is fully toilet trained, we did this from the get go when we brought her home. She is crate trained and we’ve also done sit, stay training with her which she does well out and about, as well as at home, for example, waiting for her food.
She has good recall, and we are confident walking her on the downs or on the beach off the lead.
She currently eats forthglade mixed with cold pressed kibble. No known allergies and no known health issues, sadly parents weren't health tested when we brought her and we stupidly didn’t push for this. She is also not kennel club registered. One of 8 in the litter. She is growing well, mum was the family dog to the family we got her from, local to us and was a chocolate lab, dad was fox red working line.
She has been allowed to sit/lay on the sofa, with her blanket and only when given the command of ‘ok’ to signal her to come up. She has not been allowed upstairs in our house and has not tried to navigate the stairs to test this.
She travels well in the car, we use a crate in the boot. She’s been on holiday with us to two lodges, a caravan and also camping and she adapted to and enjoyed these times away. She’s also a dog that has always been fine to take to a cafe for a drink and enjoys chilling on the floor watching the world go by.
We live in West Sussex and Luna is microchipped, wormed and flea’ed and has had her necessary vaccinations for her age.
We are heartbroken that Luna will need to move on from us, but due to separation, this has to happen to ensure she has the best life which we don’t feel we can give her between two homes and juggling working and two children too.
