Meet Zeus! Born in 1/02/2025 (non neutered) Its been a hard decision for me and my partner, but this is the best decision for him. As the other half is now away a lot with work trips. We’re struggling to look after the both of them. We did rehome him a few months back but recently he is now not getting along with our 1 yr old male cocker spaniel. Like dachshunds he can be very territorial with his food towards other dogs. He can also get jealous when your giving him attention he almost wants it all for himself and can sometimes get aggressive towards our cocker spaniel. We think He may be best suited to be the only dog in the household. He’s absolutely friendly with people and kids. When taking him for a walk he loves attention of others. We have taken zeus to restaurants and pubs, but can sometimes randomly get vocal towards strangers walking past. We do walk him off lead and his recall is good. He loves other dogs when going for walks, always likes to interact with other dogs and since we’ve owned him he’s never been aggressive to other dogs. We don't know how he was treated from previous owners but we felt like he was neglected a lot. Both owners didn't have much time for him and he was stuck in a small crate the whole day. The time he’s been staying with us, we have never used his crate, and has been sleeping in the living room with our other dog. No accidents throughout the night if taken for an evening walk. Overall zeus would be a good companion to almost anyone, loves a good cuddle and kisses in the evening. like mentioned above he’s best suited to a dog only home.
