Tentatively looking for a new home 16 month Labrador retriever This is a completely honest advert so please read before responding. He’s the most sweetest loveliest dog , great with kids our youngest is 4 , 7 and 14. Great with cats and other dogs super friendly he hasn’t got a nasty bone in his body, we also have chickens he’s fine with them but like most retrievers I wouldn’t 100 trust him on his own with them he has no malice in him but he’s young and wouid probably give them the run around with me around he’s fine and dosent bother . Hes Food motivated so this is how you would crack him as he’ll do anything for a treat and he wants to be with you all the time he absolutely loves company in general but he can be left of corse and dosent have seperation anxiety. Extremely well bred we were looking to stud him out but our circumstances have changed and lack of time stopped this so he is still entire . Training has gone out of the window and I will 💯 say that is on me. His recall right now is not the best He is so so excitable and high energy he just needs a good run ,
If somone comes over ( our house is bust) he will get really excited after 5 mins he’ll calm down but again this is my fault . he needs either somone that either will have him on the road . has a yard / farm or likes hiking /running /shooting ect so he can burn that energy off because he will go all day long . He is crated at night as he’s a chewer but again this is because of his age and boredom he loves a kong and feeder mat and He is house trained he wouldn’t chew with you there . He would make somone an absolutely wonderful dog he’s still young still trainable but unfortunately I just can’t give him the time he needs with 3 kids multiple jobs . Arthritis in my back and neck I just can’t give him what he needs excercise wise so again this has absolutely nothing in him I just know my capabilities.
Home must be 10* happy to do a trial . Please make sure you read this before messaging so you don’t waste mine or your time unless you have the experience and time and of corse the love to put into him, it’s very sad but I have to do right by him , he is kc registered, microchipped and vaccinated . But I would need to dig these out .
