Description
Almost five year old male golden retriever.
Very loving, can be anxious.
Resource guards (not his food, but high value treats and toys or things he steals).
This has been managed by swapping things for higher value treats.
Recently he’s begun to resource guard me and this has made it difficult to walk him enough and also led to him snapping at a few of my children’s friends. He has bitten once. This is only when I am present and he’s fine when I’m not there or when others walk him.
Unfortunately it’s difficult to manage this risk with three children and their friends coming and going therefore I’m looking for an experienced, adult only home.
