🐾 EXPERIENCED HOME NEEDED 🐾 1-year-old male miniature dachshund looking for a new home. He is loving and affectionate with people he knows and trusts, but unfortunately has significant behavioural issues around certain people. He has previously been returned by adopters due to aggression towards people and has recently shown aggression towards a 13-year-old child, while being comfortable around a 16-year-old. Due to his behaviour, he cannot be considered child-safe and needs an adult-only, experienced home. 🏡 He needs: • Experienced owner familiar with reactive/aggressive dogs • Calm, stable home • No children • Careful management around unfamiliar people • Patience, structure and ongoing training • Ideally support from a qualified canine behaviourist He is not suitable for a first-time owner. We want to be completely honest about his behaviour and find him a safe, permanent home where his needs can be properly understood and managed.

Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please

Fun-loving and playful by nature

Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own

Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints

They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise

The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
