Not only is the Mexican Hairless, also known as Xoloitzcuintle, Xoloitzquintle, Xoloitzcuintli, Xolo, a unique looking dog, but it is also highly intelligent and retains many of its natural primal instincts. The official name of the breed is Xoloitzcuintle or Xolo for short, which means "God Dog" in Aztec. Although hairless on most parts of their body, these charming dogs have tufts of hair on their head, tail, and paws, which adds to their adorable appearance. In addition to its unique appearance, the Mexican Hairless also boasts of being a loyal, affectionate and extremely energetic dog to have around.
