This is with great regret that we have to rehome our 10 month old black lab.
Sadly we have tried all we can and although a great character who has picked up some training nothing is working on his selective hearing and he needs a bigger home with a good sized garden. We have attended and completed a course of training classes so he knows basics such as sit, stay, leave, fetch, sits at a road etc.
He however pulls like a train on a normal lead or harness unless on a halt where he is fine, when he is out he will choose to not listen at all if he wants to do something absolutely no chance of him doing as told then and will try and play with every dog even if they don’t want to, he really needs more time than we can to spend with more training and breaking this from him.
Bailey is 10 months has more energy than a teenager on 20 red bull and is really needing someone to look after him with a sizeable garden as he loves just being outside. Our garden is a postage stamp sadly.
Both of us are working and also have two children one at school the other at full time college for the next 2 years meaning we cannot give Bailey the time he deserves.
We are not looking to get Bailey off to the next small family without a garden as described above, something like a small holding or farm would be amazing really !
The cost we have placed is to ensure a good home, we have kept all vaccines and flea and worm to date and have monthly health checks at our local vets where all is amazing and comments on how good his health is and coat and teeth of outstanding nature.
There is no issues to note of be is create trained if required but also happy to be outside on his day bed, that said I am sure he would be on your bed if you let him, he has however never been on furniture or upstairs with us. As he loves to be out more than anything I’d say that works well.
He has a grain free food which has been great for him no other diet requirements, he doesn’t have human tit bits or anything just natural foods and his kibble.
