Meet Donnie š¾
Donnie is a 10-month-old mixed-breed with so much potential, just waiting for the right person to help him shine. He is expected to grow into a large dog (around 35kg) and, with the right guidance, will make an incredibly loyal and devoted companion.
Donnie may not be the easiest startābut for someone experienced and patient, he is the kind of dog who forms a truly special bond.
āØ About Donnie:
ā¢ Initially nervous with new people and needs time to build trust (he tends to feel more comfortable with women)
ā¢ Once he feels safe, he is affectionate, playful, and enjoys interaction
ā¢ Still very much a young dog who is learning about the world around him
Donnie will need ongoing guidance with lead walking, toilet training, and basic obedienceābut he is at the perfect age to learn and grow with the right support.
š The home Donnie needs:
š” A calm, adult-only home with no other pets
š” A secure medium-to-large garden
š¾ An experienced owner who understands nervous or large-breed dogs
š Someone patient and consistent, who is willing to build trust at Donnieās pace
Donnie can currently find being left alone difficult, but with structure and time, this is something that can improve.
He will require multiple meet-and-greet visits prior to adoption, as building a relationship with him is essential. All meet and greets will be fully supervised, with advice and guidance provided to help both Donnie and his potential adopter feel comfortable and supported. This isnāt a quick rehomeābut it will be a very rewarding one.
