We are delighted to introduce our latest litter of Savannah mix kittens (F5 generation), now preparing for their forever families. These kittens are not just raised — they are given the very best start in life through careful socialisation, handling, and desensitisation from the day they are born.
💛 From Birth:
Each kitten is handled daily, and we gently work with their paws, teeth, ears, eyes, and tails so they grow accustomed to being examined. This preparation ensures they are confident and tolerant when meeting their new owners, visiting the vet, or going to the groomer in the future.
Our children, aged 3, 7, and 9, are also part of this process, giving the kittens the experience of being handled by younger family members.
🏡 At 4 Weeks Old:
The kittens move downstairs to the heart of our home.
They mix with our other cats and are introduced to our three friendly dogs, building confidence around other animals.
They are desensitised to all the natural household noises — the hoover, washing machine, kitchen clatter, TV, and the joyful chaos of children playing. This exposure creates kittens that are unafraid, adaptable, and well-prepared for busy family life.
🛁 Additional Desensitisation:
We introduce them to different types of litter (clumping, non-clumping, pellets, crystals, etc.) so they transition easily to whichever you prefer in your home.
The kittens are gradually accustomed to being placed in travel boxes/carriers, so journeys to the vet or to their new homes are far less stressful.
They experience gentle grooming sessions and nail touching/clipping prep, ensuring they won’t resist basic care.
✨ About the Savannah Breed – F5 Generation:
Savannahs are renowned for their wild beauty and intelligent nature. They are a hybrid breed descended from the African Serval, known for their tall ears, long legs, and striking spotted coats.
As F5 generation, these kittens are far enough down the breeding line to be much closer in temperament to domestic cats, making them easy-going, affectionate, and family-friendly, while still retaining their exotic appearance and lively personality.
They are known for being highly intelligent, playful, inquisitive, and loyal — often forming strong bonds with their families.
Compared to basic domestic cats, Savannahs are more interactive, more curious, and often enjoy learning tricks, playing fetch, and exploring. They thrive on enrichment, toys, climbing opportunities, and human interaction.
