Our beautiful boy is 3 years 3 months old born September 2022 (accidentally put 23 in the advert) and looking for his forever home. We rehomed him from a family who could no longer walk him. We wanted him to become an assistance dog but unfortunately he is unable to meet the specifications we require.
He’s perfectly behaved in the house, we cannot fault him. He loves his fluffy bed, toys, will play fetch forever! He knows sit, down, drop, leave, stay, wait. We have trained him to wait for his food until we say ok. He does pull on the lead but we have since changed him to a slip lead which is helping. He sleep next to our bed at night and sleeps through the night. He isn’t allowed on the sofa or bed and doesn’t attempt to do so.
His previous home he lived with a cat and a rabbit and has grown up with young children. He’s been perfect with our two young girls. He doesn’t jump up at children and is very good around them. You can leave food around and he will leave it alone. He doesn’t bother the children for food.
He does jump up at adults to say hello, I believe he has been used to doing this since a puppy, we have been trying to stop this so I believe continued training would help.
He is being changed from Tesco own dog food to James Wellbeloved due to better quality food and it’s going really well. He eats and drinks well, no rushed eating.
He loves a walk and gets very excited when he knows he is off out. He travels well in the car and is happy to jump in to the boot.
His previous home played with him with a laser pen so he does fixate on light and reflection which is why he isn’t suitable for us, he will need further training to prevent this continuing.
His vaccinations are up to date, I wasn’t provided his KC papers as they couldn’t find them but I’m assured he was KC registered as a puppy.
His flea and worming treatment will be due in the next two weeks.
He has not been castrated.
Please only message if you can provide him his forever home and are serious, because we would never have taken him on if we’d known about the light etc. It is no issue for a family pet, but as he would need to be an assistance dog he just won’t make the grade needed.
Price is to ensure he goes to a loving home.
