Sadly, I need to rehome my 5-year-old male Lurcher. He’s a loving, loyal companion, but since a major operation a year ago, I’m no longer able to give him the exercise and structure he needs. This is a heartbreaking decision made purely out of doing what’s best for him.
About him:
• Bred from a working/game dog line in Stroud
• Would suit a rural home with plenty of land
• Fully housetrained, clean, and calm indoors
• Loves playing with his ball and relaxing at home after a good run
• Good recall, unless distracted by other dogs or small animals
• Shows protective behaviour over his person — can show his teeth if told off (anxiety-related, not true aggression)
• Would benefit from ongoing training and structure
Health:
• Fully vaccinated
• Wormed and flead
• Microchipped (paperwork misplaced, but chip is registered)
He needs:
• An experienced, confident owner
• No small animals or young children
• A secure garden or open land for safe exercise
• Someone patient and calm, who understands guarding behaviour and high-drive dogs
