We are looking to re-home our two year old Maltipoo, Sky. She has always lived with children and is nice natured with them, never showing any nastiness.
She is very much a lap dog and likes to sit on the sofa with you, especailly resting her head on your feet. She sleeps in a crate at night but her preference would be to sleep on your bed if you wanted to allow that.
Fully house trained. She isn't distructive. Knows basic commands such as sit, lay down. Recall when off the lead is 50/50.
She is up to date with her flea and worm treatment, which has been supplied by the vet. She has had her annual vacinations recently and is due her booster in a couple of weeks. She still has 4 baby teeth that may need removing at some point.
She does have some separation anxiety which is displayed in circling and whining. She does quiten down after 10-15 minutes of leaving her.
She does bark at strangers, so anyone wishing to view her needs to be aware that she will bark but once she knows you, she is completely fine.
Sky would be happy to have someone at home most of the time, so I am looking for someone either retired or that works from home most/all the time, as she likes company and I wouldn't want to her left for long periods to feel stressed.
She does live with a large breed dog but I think her preference would be to be the only dog. She's not been tested with cats.
We are looking to rehome Sky as our other dog does not leave her alone and due to being a large breed, his attempts to play fight can go too far and I am worried she will get hurt. Our other dog is also distructive in the house and with a young family, we have a lot on our plate. I would like to give Sky the home she deserves. Someone to give her lots of fuss and attention, rather than having to complete with another dog. Ideally a quieter, more relaxed home.
She hasn't been spayed
