This is Gus a 3 year old Black Lab.
He is an un neutered male and absolutely loves long walks and having zoomies around the garden!
He is sadly up for rehoming through no fault of his own. Due to having three young children, I now no longer have the time to take him for the walks he needs and give him the affection he really craves!
His welfare is at the peak of it all and I feel he’s got so much love to give and life to live and he’s just not achieving that in our care (although he is still such a happy chap and his tail never stops wagging!)
We have owned Gus from a puppy and overall has been a joy. We have trained him to sit and wait for his food and he is absolutely brilliant with young children.
He is quite anxious at the vets but that’s his only hang up. He up to date with all his vaccinations and flea and worming treatments and he is also
microchipped. I am currently paying monthly for a pet plan which means he has a health check every 6 months in which he has just had one coming away with a clean bill of health.
He loves his raw treats and filled bones, loves a ball and his toys!
His lead manners could do with some work as he does pull and has lots of strength but I feel this has been unfortunately made worse with the lack of exercise we’ve been able to give him.
He is crate trained and a dream to leave and you never come home to an accident.
He travels well with only a bit of panting and whining but never any sickness or flatulance.
Gus will come with his bowls, food, food bin, crate, bed and treats. Also a selection of leads will be available as we’ve tried him on a few due to his pulling.
An active home with children or a home with an only adult or couple would fit this lovable guy the best.
A loving home is more important than anything as this has been an extremely difficult decision for us as a family.
If you think you can offer Gus a home with lots of love and exercise then please contact me. I am open to the idea of a foster to adopt option before any commitment is made but also if he's everything you want then he can be rehomed straight away.
