Meet Koa — our stunning well trained, traditional English Springer Spaniel.
Koa is a strong, heavily marked boy from superb working lines from pippenmoor lines (KC registered, tail undocked) his kennel name is TRUEFLEURS KOA, he's dna hereditary clear and was bred in-house as part of our detection dog breeding program. He’s ball and kong obsessed, hunts beautifully, and has taken part in our green detection training with real enthusiasm.
He’s environmentally bold — confident with water, intro to gunfire, different surfaces, obstacles, and busy environments. He's more than happy to chill in a pub or cafe mid adventure.
He’s recall trained, crate trained, and dog neutral; he’ll happily ignore other dogs and is well-mannered around people and children.
He does pull on the lead due to the drive-building games we do in training (we encourage them to pull to the ball), but he walks great off lead or on a figure-of-eight/slip lead if needed for a novice handler.
Around the home, he’s exceptionally loving, crate trained and calm with an off switch — the kind of dog who’ll rest his head and front legs on you like a human hug! When working, he switches up into high drive and gives everything to his task.
He would suit an active lifestyle or a working home, particularly detection or similar disciplines where his drive and focus can shine. Though no heavy handling homes he's biddable and its not needed.
For full transparency, Koa has two small quirks — he sometimes does an excited wee dribble when meeting new people (so wouldn’t suit an HMP environment and no trials available unfortunately), and he doesn’t thrive in a very busy kennel setup he has shown some kennel stress in a noisy environment so ideally a home setting.
He retrieves to hand, adores water, and is overall a strong, affectionate, and highly capable dog.
If you’re looking for a fun, driven, and loyal companion with excellent foundations, Koa is a brilliant boy who’ll make someone very proud.
