Due to genuine health reasons we have to rehome my Mums Miniature Poodle Bailey, he stands approx 12 inches tall.
Mum recently had a stroke and can no longer care for Bailey is the way he needs.
This dog must be rehomed with the absolute right person / couple who can meet his needs. Bailey is no more than 3 years old he is house trained but we do have back doors which lead directly to the garden, so easy for us letting him outside often. Ideally a potential new home will offer him the same access into a secure garden but i am aware not all homes have this type of access.
Important Health issues to be carefully considered
Bailey has had 2 short fits within his three years. The vet has not started him on any medication yet but he might need meds later in his life if he has anymore fits.
Ideally a potential new owner will have previous experience of a dog who has a history of taking fits and will potentially need medication at some stage in his life thats if fits come back . As mentioned up until now he has had two short fits lasting approx three minuets from start to end.
This is a totally honest description so a potential new owner knows exactly what they are getting with Bailey.
Foolishly Bailey was bought for my elderly mother, she was too elderly to train a puppy. Bailey needs someone who is willing to retrain him and learn him to be a better behaved dog because he can bark quite a lot. He seems to be a one person dog and he loves my mum. He is extremely protective of her and he has been known to bite if he thinks my mum is being threatened or he feels threatened.
So the nipping and biting needs working on and stopping. Bailey is a beautiful cream coloured miniature Poodle but through no real fault of his own he has naughty behaviour issues . He is not nuetred and quite a bosterous boy who thinks he's a rottweiler. Baily gets along fine with my brothers female sausage dog but he goes into fight mode with my male collie who is much bigger than him. Baily actually takes his fight to the collie hence Ideally he would be the only dog in his new home or no other male dog. I would be hesitant to rehome him where kids are also due to his tendency to nip or bite when he feels threat.
He is a full pedigree miniature Poodle, vaccinations up to date and microchipped.My Mum does have some paperwork for him but I doubt we can find that although we are looking for it. We want him to be someone's loved pet and not used for stud. I have had quite a lot of people enquiring about Bailey, to meet him, to rehome him ect but this is the rehoming of a dog who potentially might need medication for fits and also has behaviour issues. He needs a special individual who will offer him what he needs as well as a lot of patience .
