I’m sadly looking for a new loving home for my dachshund boy.
We were told he is a miniature dachshund, however he does appear slightly bigger than a typical miniature — I’m not an expert though so he may actually well be.
He is kind, gentle, and calm, not a typical yappy dachshund. Although relaxed in nature, he is still a puppy and loves to play, followed by plenty of sleep. He enjoys his walks and has a lovely, easy-going temperament.
He is good with children, but I am a single mum to two young kids and underestimated how challenging it would be to manage everything alone. My youngest child doesn’t yet understand how to be gentle and unintentionally harasses him, which isn’t fair on him. He has been incredibly patient, but I feel he would thrive much better in a calmer home.
I took him on from my best friend, so he has been well loved from day one. He is fully vaccinated and microchipped.
He sleeps through the night without needing the toilet. He does his wee and poo outside, however if left alone for longer periods he may have the occasional accident, which he uses a puppy pad for.
This is a very hard decision and I’m only looking for the right home, where he will be loved and given the calm environment he deserves.
