At Amriver Dachshunds – Bred by the Sea, based in beautiful Pembrokeshire, our focus is on breeding healthy, confident puppies with exceptional temperaments that will become cherished members of their new families. About the Parents Our beautiful Long Haired Standard Dachshund dam has been paired with a stunning Long Haired Miniature Dachshund sire. We carefully chose this pairing to combine wonderful temperaments, beautiful long coats and excellent conformation. As this is a Standard × Miniature pairing, the puppies are not Kennel Club registered and are expected to mature somewhere between the two size varieties. Raised With the Very Best Start Our puppies are raised in our family home with endless love and attention. They are handled daily and introduced to everyday household sights and sounds, giving them the very best start in life. Each puppy will leave with: 🐾 Veterinary health check 🐾 Microchip 🐾 Vaccination (if age appropriate) 🐾 Up-to-date worming programme 🐾 Puppy pack including food and a comfort blanket with mum’s scent 🐾 Lifetime breeder support Our Commitment to You Choosing the right puppy is just as important as choosing the right home. From the moment you secure your puppy, you’ll receive weekly WhatsApp updates, including photographs, videos, weight updates and milestone moments such as their eyes opening, first steps, weaning and personality development. Extremely affectionate and loyal little dogs
Very intelligent Dachshunds learn quickly and know how to please
Fun-loving and playful by nature
Energetic and feisty Dachshunds like to be kept entertained

Cons

Not the best choice for first time owners because Dachshunds often have a mind of their own
Care must be taken with puppies because they must not be allowed to jump up or down from anywhere because it could damage their backs and joints
They are prone to putting on too much weight if not given enough daily exercise
The breed is known to suffer from quite a few health concerns so vet bills can be high and why pet insurance is so important for anyone owning a Dachshund
