American Bulldogs are larger and more agile than their English Bulldog cousins, and over the years they have become a popular choice in the United States as both companion dogs and family pets. Thanks to their good looks and friendly nature, they have found their way into the hearts and homes of many people here in the UK and other countries around the world. As yet, American Bulldogs has not been recognised as a separate breed by the Kennel Club, but they are recognised by both United Kennel Club and American Breed Club, and so a standard has been set by both clubs for these loyal and courageous dogs.
