Isla has retired from breeding with us. She has been a superb mum. She has played nanny to many younger dogs in our household also.
She is quite the character. A wonderful family pet first but has turned her hand to most things.
We have made what feel is the right decision to find an excellent home for her to retire to as she is still young and has plenty of good years ahead of her where she could thrive on being a superb family pet.
Isla is
✅ house trained and crate trained
✅ travels great in the car
✅ loves to play ball 🥎
✅ has excellent recall
✅ walks well on a loose lead but sometimes needs a little reminder when first heading out
✅ it’s great with other dogs but also tend to be the matriarch of the household so will quite quickly accept younger dogs and guides them to be respectful
✅ loves people
✅ is great with kids
✅ does not chew
✅ loves to play football and can pass the ball better than most professionals
✅ can deglove a cucumber in under 30 seconds when you leave the room
✅ quite happy to be the only dog and have all the attention
❌ no experience with cats or small animals
Quirks
✈️ loves to bark at planes should they fly over your garden - just to let you know
🗑️ will let you know if your neighbours are putting their bins out
🚪 no doorbell required Isla sees it as her duty to inform you someone is at the door
🍩 partial to the odd doughnut
🥎 likes to carry 3 balls at a time
Isla has been on a couple of shoots a few years ago and picked up birds. Her gundog training is rusty but with some consistency and work she could pick that back up.
She is quite happy either way and would be more than happy sharing the sofa with you all day nut loves to go for walks and is a great swimmer.
Isla is super smart. Such a character and it would be nice for her to go to a home where she is more of the immediate focus there.
Isla is spayed. Fully health tested. DNA unaffected for 260 conditions. BVA eye tested clear. Hips 3/4 and elbows 0/0
She has never been sick or sorry.
