Meet Otis, our beautifully natured working Cocker Spaniel with a rare lemon coat and a heart of gold. Born in July 2023, Otis is an exceptional young dog with both brains and charm. His coat is flatter and shorter than the average pet Cocker, as is typical of his working line heritage.
Otis is unregistered with the Kennel Club, but comes from a well-bred lineage — pedigree information can be provided on request. He’s never had any health issues (aside from a mild case of seasonal hayfever in spring), and is a fit, healthy, and active boy.
What truly sets Otis apart is his temperament. He’s the perfect balance between drive and downtime — switched on when working, and relaxed, cuddly, and people-oriented when indoors. He’s affectionate, loves attention, and is wonderfully social with all animals, including cats and his two canine siblings. He’s never shown a single hint of aggression or nervousness — just a goofy, happy dog with a ton of love to give.
Currently in training for Scent Work with ambitions to compete in the near future, Otis also has a solid grounding in gundog training, with a strong grasp of commands and impressive working potential — he just hasn’t been put into the field yet.
We’re currently exploring whether to keep him entire, so this post is to gauge interest from anyone looking to bring in outstanding temperament, drive, and versatility to their next litter. Otis would be a fantastic stud for either working or active pet homes.
