Description
This is not an easy decision, and it’s with heavy hearts that we are looking to rehome our girl. She is very much part of our family, but we simply cannot give her the time, structure, and stimulation she truly needs to thrive.
She is a very loving dog with a huge heart, but she does come with challenges. She has a compulsive tail-chasing behaviour, which requires consistent redirection, training, and physical and mental stimulation. She’s extremely people-oriented and wants to be around someone almost constantly – she is not a dog who can be left alone for long periods.
In the past, she’s shown guarding tendencies around food, so we feed her with minimal interaction and she manages well this way. She can be reactive with some dogs – she gets on with a few, but not all – so we feel she would do best as the only dog in the home.
The positives: she is highly trained in obedience and knows a wide range of commands. She is smart, eager to please, and deeply loyal. In the right hands, with the right structure, she has so much to give.
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience with behavioural or high-needs dogs
• Lives an active lifestyle and can commit to her exercise needs
• Has no other dogs or young children
• Is willing to let us meet you, talk openly, and ensure this is the right fit
Please do not message if you’re looking for a family pet for your kids – she’s not suited for that kind of environment. Also, we will not consider anyone who won’t be transparent about their living situation or daily routine. We need to know she’s going to the right person.
She is not a “quick fix” dog, but she is deeply rewarding for someone with patience, time, and love. If you believe you can offer her what she truly needs, please get in touch and tell us a bit about yourself and your experience.
