Description
It is with heavy heart that we have had to make the decision to re home our mini Dachshund. He is around 15 months old and is great with children and adores my six year old, however this can’t be said for other dogs as this all depends on his mood. He is a typical Dachshund and will bark at the slightest noise and want to investigate this further.
He loves cuddling of an evening and borrowing under his blankets making him feel safe. Of a night time he is good with sleeping in his crate in the bedroom, but this is very different through the day if you are to leave him. I feel he would be best suited to someone who is at home a lot, or even works from home. He isn’t a huge fan of being left on his own and this is something we’ve been working on for a while since we rescued him at 7 months old.
He isn’t good at sharing his space with other pets such as other dogs and cats and would need to go to a home that is pet free.
He currently eats raw food and biscuits to help maintain a healthy weight.
He’s vaccinations are all up to date along side flea and worming treatment and he was neutered several months ago at his local vet’s.
He is supposedly KC registered however the previous owner never gave his paperwork over so we’ve not being able to have this validated.
We really didn’t want to have to re home him as he is a very loving dog, however with our life schedules we can’t be at home all day with him like he wants as he doesn’t like being on his own.
We would like to get to know anyone that is interested in him first and to see living arrangements etc as we don’t want him going anywhere and want to make sure it’s the right fit for him to continue living a very happy and fulfilled life.
We have advertised him at £800 however we would be willing to negotiate if it was the right person and the right home for him.
