Description

This is Mica. She is a standard-sized dachshund dog- 8 KGs. She has a rare and unique coat, silver, tan & black dapple with partial heterochromia. She is extremely soft to the touch & has the sweetest personality. She has been spayed and has been living with a second dachshund dog, called Maya. They have never had any aggression/territorial or other issues whether left alone or together. Mica does not have any food aggression. She also understands two languages, English and Bulgarian. Very clever dog. Mica can be trained many tricks very easily. She is extremely agile and would do extremely well in agility courses. Jumps over triple her height! She has lots of character and a day is never boring with her. She loves to cuddle and be close to humans. She is very good at being an emotional support dog! She is extremely loving and loyal. Mica loves children and other dogs. Very patient towards them & careful when playful. She is an anxious dog, so she has never been fully left alone in the house without at least her dog buddy Maya- we believe that she can be trained to be alone, but it would require a lot of time and patience. She also requires a lot more mental and physical stimulation than a small dog usually does. Due to her anxiety, when left alone, she would destroy ONLY underwear. This does not always happen, but it is a possibility. She is not destructive towards anything else, no clothes, blankets etc. A good fit for Mica would be someone who owns a large outside area, such as a garden or even a farm/open area. Or someone that is very experienced in dogs and has the time to take her out often. She is extremely curious and possesses many traits that puppies do. It is possible that she may have some type of mental disability- this does not affect her to live normally, but it does require specific type of care. She still needs some training when outside as she is too excited, she may pull on the leash from time to time and react to dogs outside- she does not bark or get aggressive, however due to excitement she will scream at them… We have tried to train Mica for years with many different methods and she has improved significantly, however due to our lifestyles we cannot give her the consistency and special care she requires to become a normal dog. Unfortunately, we can no longer care for her and she deserves someone that can provide her with everything we cannot. Although it pains me to have to rehome Mica, this is definitely the best way for her to reach full happiness. We are happy to have someone see her at home before being rehomed.
