Description
This is the hardest post I’ve ever had to write and it truly breaks my heart😣
Winston is our life. He came into our world as a rescue — we knew nothing about him, nothing about his past, what he’d been through, or where he came from. No papers, no documents, just a beautiful bulldog who needed love. We took him in instantly, without hesitation, and from that very first day he became part of our family.
Since being with us, Winston has had vet check-ups and I’m happy to say his health is very good. His breathing is quite open for a bulldog, and he’s been well looked after and deeply loved every single day.
Winston is a big, soft-hearted boy. He has grown up alongside my daughter since she was 5 years old and is absolutely wonderful with children. He’s gentle, affectionate, and full of character — a true softy who just wants to be close to his people. He is our entire world. We have done absolutely everything we can for him, and he has always come first in our lives. Even when we went to America for two weeks, we couldn’t bear the thought of putting him in a kennel, so my dad stayed with him the entire time. That’s how deeply he is loved. He isn’t just a pet — he’s family, and a very spoilt boy who means more to us than words can say.
That said, Winston is hard work. Bulldogs are not an easy breed, and he needs someone who genuinely has the time, patience, and love to give him the life he deserves. He needs a permanent, full-time future with someone who can be there for him — not just physically, but emotionally too.
This decision is absolutely no fault of Winston’s. It comes down to personal circumstances and the reality that, as much as we love him, we made an instant decision to rescue him without fully understanding how it would impact our working lives long-term. That realisation has been devastating, and I am truly heartbroken to be writing this.
Please know this: Winston will not go to just anybody. I will want to speak in depth with any potential new owner. I want to know everything about you, your lifestyle, your experience, and how you plan to give Winston the forever home he deserves. He is our beautiful big boy, and his next home must be perfect.
If you think you could offer Winston a safe, loving, lifelong home and truly understand the commitment involved, please reach out. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, but my only goal is to see him happy, secure, and loved forever.
