Description

It breaks my heart to have to think about a rehome for cooper, but because he is so high energy my son (autistic) struggles with his bouncing around, and cooper struggles with the noise my son makes. Cooper is in my care because I had an abusive ex partner who bought him and hit him, so I took him in to keep him safe from said ex partner. Because of his past of abuse he is quite skittish but he’s still able to form wonderful bonds with people, he just doesn’t like loud noises and shouting/slamming (another reason why I think he needs a new home, my son is often banging things and making loud noises and scaring him) and it breaks my heart to see him panic when my son slams doors ect. Cooper would thrive in a family home and he is great with young children. He lives with another female dog and a cat and is perfectly fine living alongside other animals. He’s a wonderful loving dog who’s well trained although he does need help with socialisation with dogs on walks and more training with recall. I do not take him off his lead, but this is also due to his age. He goes for big runs 4x a week on a private field and needs a lot of exercise so an active family household would be ideal for cooper. He is crate trained and is able to handle being left alone for 4/5 hours but would struggle with much longer than that. I care a lot about this pup so please only enquire if you can give him a wonderful life full of fun and snuggles (and give me updates for a while) He is KC registered and is intact. If you enquire I will meet you with cooper first and then give you a day or two to think about it, as I do not want this little guy to be bought impulsively. He deserves to find his forever home :)
